Sudsy Fountain-and some metal too.

Last night Chris and I decided to go to the Imax for the last night that 'Transformers' was playing. Unfortunately, it was sold out.

Since I had my camera we wandered around talking and looking for something to shoot. Then we came across this fountain. From a distance it looked like there was giant icicles hanging off it. As I've never seen anything like that before, I had to check it out. When we got closer, we realized that someone had poured some soap into the fountain and the icicles were actually a large amount of bubbles.

Bad for the fountain but good for us.

Did I mention that it was a bit windy? Love the bubbles flying away.

Love the swirl of the bubbles in the water.

Just something about the water falling over the ledge.
This is another fountain on the grounds of the Parliament Building. I was entranced watching the water curve over the top against the contrast of the sunset with the Empress Hotel in the background.

Some shots of metal that I took. I don't know which of these I may use for the contest-or if I'll use any of them at all.
A weathered BC Coat of Arms, well a part of it anyways.

The ceremonial door at the Legislature. Unless you are a considered important-like the Lt. Governor or the Queen-you won't ever be able to use this door.

The handrail leading up to that door.

One of the lamposts on the Legislature grounds. The full BC Coat of Arms is on the base. It was hard to get the black-on-black design to show up well, especially since it was getting late and the sun was setting.

The top of one of the lamps, a Victoria traditional design.

And since it was there-flowers!
