We Also Went to Scienceworld...

Outside the main door, there is this contraption that drops balls and makes music. It was fun to watch and all the bits and pieces made for some interesting photos. Unfortunately, it was behind some scratched plexi-glass so the photos aren't quite as good as I had hoped.

Some of the optical illusions.
I was glad that in the photo you can still see the effect of the circles moving.
Count the ghosts.
The two top pieces were switched around. Now count the ghosts again. Brian was fascinated by this one and trying to figure out how the extra ghost appeared.
Pete getting the straight yellow rod through the curved cut-out in the purple sheet.
Look carefully. These are circles, not spirals.
Perpetual motion rings.
I couldn't get my eyes to work on this one-and I don't think that I could explain it either-but I thought it looked kind of interesting.
A close-up of the Soma Blocks. Love the wear pattern on them.
Brian and Pete trying to out-relax each other (Bri-with that intense look-won).

Next we went into the exhibit where we turned and tilted things to make energy.

Pete tilting the solar panel.

On this one, you spun a wheel and the electricity that you generated lit the light bulbs and then would illuminate the silver disk at the top. You can faintly see the blue lines in the silver disk.
A water turbine.

Pete spinning the dial-I believe this is from the water turbine.

Makine hydro electricity. At the end of it, the brown-orange rooster on the right-hand side spins when you've made enough electricity.
The lights at the edge of the screen in the Omnidome movie theatre.

As if I have to try to pick a favourite....haha...I like the illusions. It's great that they still have their effect in photographs!
Looks like it was so much fun!
